American intelligence agencies believe recent U.S. military strikes are unlikely to significantly change Iran’s negotiating position or bring Tehran back to talks with Washington, according to a report by The Washington Post. 

The assessment concludes Iran is expected to view the strikes as leaving it in a strong negotiating position because of U.S. military action. President Donald Trump’s expanded attacks on Iran appear to have led to a prolonged standoff between the two countries, according to the report.
