Tulare County firefighters rescued a kitten that became trapped inside a wall during a recent public service call in Earlimart, according to the Tulare County Fire Department.

Engine 28, based at the Earlimart station and staffed by Lt. Mendoza and Firefighter Hendrick, responded to the call after the kitten became stuck inside a wall.

Firefighter Hendrick located the kitten, cut a small access hole, and safely freed the animal without injury.

Firefighters waited to see if the kitten’s mother would return but were unable to locate her. A neighbor later adopted the kitten, providing it with a permanent home.
