When the going gets tough, the weak cut and run.

Opinion
Such is the case with a disgruntled former Granville Homes employee who found hungry local media willing to devour his fabulist tales.
The public should know that this person formed his own company over a month prior to his departure from Granville, according to secretary of state filings.
This includes the registration and development of his new company’s website for a span of more than a month prior to his departure, according to the website’s metadata and registration records. He also proceeded to delete significant data from Granville’s computer services during his last 30 days with us. We believe we will discover more as time goes on.
He was let go because his business acumen, accounting skills, understanding of tax codes, and work ethic didn’t match the claims he made during the hiring process. Granville was told by this employee that unless he was paid $540,000, he would file an embarrassing lawsuit.
As this matter is already in court, I won’t make further comments other than to say I am fully confident that Granville will prevail in this matter.
Granville Homes Builds on Decades of Success
But I do want to address the future of Granville Homes. Despite malicious allegations to the contrary, we are in a strong financial position, and poised to continue building our beautiful, energy-efficient, award-winning homes for years to come.
When you contract to buy a Granville Home, know that we will build it with Love and Passion, and back it with the best guarantee in Central California.
Local residents continue to buy our homes — more than 7,500 and counting — because they recognize and appreciate the craftsmanship, attention to detail, and customer service.
Our homebuilding mission has been complicated by misfortune in the farming operation in which I am a partner with my brothers, Farid and Farshid. Until struck by a debilitating disease, Farid oversaw the financing of our farming operations.
And, of course, the home building industry is suffering many challenges — from high interest rates to material and labor shortages.
A combination of Farid’s failing health, a dramatic lowering of crop rises and land values, and the implementation of California’s landmark groundwater sustainability law blindsided us on the farming side.
However, the farming entities are working day and night with the federal receivers, lenders, vendors, attorneys, and potential buyers to make things right. We’re very close to our goal, and I look forward to the day that we end this chapter.
Home of Hope Returns for 2027, Sustaining Local Nonprofits
In closing, I want to assure everyone that Granville Homes is financially secure and has the capital to continue our tradition of developing beautiful communities in Fresno and Clovis.
My vision remains much as it was when I began building homes: Every neighborhood should have a park and trails, and be close to schools, restaurants, and shopping.
Flying in the face of the false picture presented by that disgruntled former employee, Granville Homes will build another Home of Hope in 2027, adding to the more than $9 million raised for local nonprofits since 2006.
Each and every dollar raised by selling raffle tickets for the Granville Home of Hope goes to the selected nonprofits, thanks to the efforts of our valued employees and subcontractors.
I, along with every Granville Homes employee, am looking forward to making 2027 our best year ever.
From all of us at Granville Homes to all of you, a happy Fourth of July and a happy 250th birthday, America!
