A semi-truck crash in Fresno County has reduced Interstate 5 to one lane on Thursday, May 7, 2026. (Caltrans)

Southbound Interstate 5 was reduced to one lane north of Jayne Avenue on Thursday because of a traffic collision involving a semi-truck, according to Caltrans Central Valley District 6.

Officials said all lanes were projected to reopen within five to six hours.

Motorists were advised to expect delays and plan accordingly.
