Chime Goes Down for Thousands of Users, Downdetector Reports

Chime experienced a possible outage Friday, according to Downdetector.com.

More than 4,200 users had reported problems with the platform as of 2:51 p.m. PT, according to Downdetector, which tracks outages by collecting status reports from multiple sources.

Most users who reported an issue to Downdetector said that they had issues with the mobile application.

Chime’s status page says that all systems are currently operational.

Update at 2:55 p.m.

Chime’s status page now says, “We’re currently investigating a service disruption across our platform. We’re working hard to resolve this issue as soon as possible. ”

It also shows that Direct Deposit, SpotMe, Mobile Check Deposit, ACH Transfers, MyPay, Pay Anyone, and many other services are down. It shows that phone support, ATMs, and card purchases are still operational.

Nearly 6,000 users have now reported an issue with Chime.
