The FBI has added KaShawn Nicola Roper, a woman wanted in connection with a 2020 fatal shooting in Kansas City, Missouri, to its list of Ten Most Wanted Fugitives, the agency said on Tuesday.
Roper is wanted on charges including second degree murder, armed criminal action, and unlawful use of a weapon in connection with an Aug. 23, 2020, shooting that allegedly killed one woman and injured another after shots were fired into a vehicle during an altercation, authorities said.
A state warrant for Roper’s arrest was issued Sept. 10, 2020, in the 16th Judicial Circuit, Jackson County, Missouri.
A federal arrest warrant was later issued on July 1, 2021, in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri after she was charged with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution.
The FBI is offering a reward of up to $1 million for information leading directly to her arrest.
Federal Bureau of Investigation said Roper should be considered armed and dangerous.
Roper, who was born Oct. 7, 1975, in Kansas, has previously lived in Kansas City and is believed to have ties to Kansas, Nebraska, Texas, Colorado, Georgia, and South Dakota, officials said.
