Voters can watch the 2026 California governor’s debate from Wednesday at Fresno State’s Resnick Student Union by clicking here.
The event features six candidates: San Jose Mayor Matt Mahan (D), former FOX News commentator Steve Hilton (R-Atherton), former U.S. Rep. Katie Porter (D-Irvine), Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco (R-Woodcrest), former Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa (D-Los Angeles), and former U.S. Health & Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra (D).
Candidates not joining the forum are Tom Steyer (D-San Francisco), U.S. Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-Livermore), former California Controller Betty Yee (D-San Francisco), and California Superintendent of Public Instruction Tony Thurmond (D-Richmond).
