X, formerly Twitter, experienced an outage Wednesday, with thousands of users reporting issues, according to Downdetector.com.

More than 16,000 users had reported problems with the platform as of 8:18 a.m. PT, according to Downdetector, which tracks outages by collecting status reports from multiple sources.

Most users reported an issue with the mobile application.

Update at 8:25 a.m.

More than 23,000 users have now submitted an issue with X.

Update at 8:29 a.m.

More than 29,000 users have submitted an issue with X to Downdetector.

Update at 8:34 a.m.

Nearly 45,000 users have now reported an issue with the platform.

Update at 8;42 a.m.

Reports of issues with X are beginning to decline as the platform appears to be working again.
