Lyra is a petite 9-month-old calico sweetheart with the softest meow you’ve ever heard — her foster mom lovingly calls her “Squeaker.”
She’s fast as lightning and loves hunting for hidden toys under the couch and bed. No dust bunny is safe from this tiny adventurer.
With her beautiful calico markings and adorable white boots, Lyra is as pretty as she is playful. When she wants your attention, she’ll flop at your feet and roll over with a look that says, “Pet me, now please!” And once you start, she won’t let you stop. This little muskrat loves affection and will happily follow you around until she gets it.
Lyra’s Backstory
Lyra and her now adopted sister, Ursa, started out life in a hoarding situation and they were at risk of being dumped somewhere dangerous when a kind person stepped in to prevent that from happening.
Weighing only a pound each, they wouldn’t have been able to survive on their own without protection, food, and vaccines. Even though they came to The Cat House during the height of kitten season last June, an understanding foster made room for them. Fosters make a melodic life path possible for blossoming talents like Lyra’s.
If you’re looking for a loving, lively companion who will steal your heart (and your socks), Lyra is ready to be your new best friend.
