Tulare County Authorities Arrest 5 in Visalia Human Trafficking Operation

Five men were arrested in the Visalia area following a human trafficking detail conducted by the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office and Porterville Police Department on Friday and Saturday.

Edward Pena, 41, of Tulare; Fernando Martinez, 53, of Orange Cove; Roy Pearce, 43, and Arturo Zaragoza, 43, both of Visalia; and David Abundiz, 56, of Reedley, were taken into custody for soliciting prostitution, the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.

During the operation, detectives also rescued four adult women who were identified as victims of human trafficking.
