Tulare County Sheriff’s deputies arrested three people following a shooting near the Cutler Food Mart that left two people injured but not seriously harmed.

The incident occurred around 10:15 p.m. on Jan. 5 near Road 128 and Avenue 403, deputies said. Victims reported being shot at while driving away from the store. Several nearby cars and a building were also struck by gunfire.

Detectives with the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office TAGNET Unit identified two suspects: a 17-year-old boy from Orosi and David Juda Vasquez, 22, of Cutler, both documented Norteño gang members.

Authorities took them into custody Tuesday without incident. The teen was booked into the Juvenile Detention Facility, and Vasquez was booked into the Tulare County Pretrial Facility on charges related to the shooting.

During the investigation, deputies served several search warrants in Cutler, seizing multiple guns, a large amount of ammunition, and five high-capacity magazines.

Rodrigo Manzo, 26, also a Norteño gang member, was arrested as part of the search.
