A hazardous materials incident in Del Rey was safely contained Monday night after lasting about 16 hours, authorities said.

CalFire assisted the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office, working alongside the Fresno Fire Department and the Environmental Health Department to manage the situation.

No residents needed to evacuate, and there were no reported injuries, officials said. The leak was successfully controlled, preventing further risk to the community.

The cause of the leak has not been released.
