Fresno County Authorities Identify Man in Caruthers Suspicious Death

A man who died last week in Caruthers has been identified as 37-year-old Daniel Leon, authorities said.

Deputies responded around 7 a.m. Oct. 23 to the area of Oak and Tahoe avenues after a caller reported finding an injured man on the ground, the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office said.

Emergency personnel attempted to provide medical aid, but Leon died at the scene.

Officials said the nature of his injuries has not been disclosed, and detectives are investigating the death as suspicious.
