Rep. Seth Moulton (D-Mass.) said Thursday he will no longer accept donations from the American Israel Public Affairs Committee and will return contributions already received, The Hill reported.
“I support Israel’s right to exist, but I’ve also never been afraid to disagree openly with AIPAC when I believe they’re wrong,” Moulton said in a statement on X. He added that he is “a friend of Israel, but not of its current government,” criticizing AIPAC for backing that government.

Moulton’s campaign is returning $35,000 in AIPAC donations, including $15,560 from the third quarter of 2025. OpenSecrets reports that AIPAC and individuals affiliated with the group gave Moulton $42,850 over the past two years, making it his top contributor.
The announcement comes a day after Moulton launched a Democratic primary challenge against Sen. Ed Markey (D-Mass.) for the 2026 Senate race. Markey has not received AIPAC donations in recent years.
