Original Story

A 15-year-old boy was killed in a collision with a vehicle on Monday evening at Olive Avenue and Angus Street, the Fresno Police Department reported.

Officers responded shortly before 6 p.m. and found the boy with serious injuries. He was transported to Community Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators, police said.

Authorities said the boy appeared to be riding in the number one lane of westbound Olive at the time of the crash.

DUI does not appear to be a factor.
