A Monday Night Football twinbill kicks off with a battle of winless teams, the New York Jets and Miami Dolphins, and someone is quite likely to leave Hard Rock Stadium with their first victory of the year.
The Dolphins come in well-rested, not having played since their competitive Thursday night loss at Buffalo that has continued a trend of incremental improvement since their opening debacle against Indianapolis.
The Jets, whose 0-3 start includes two-point losses to Pittsburgh and Tampa Bay, will have their quarterback Justin Fields back in the lineup after recovering from a concussion.
Miami is a 2 1/2-point favorite, essentially enjoying home-field advantage, as it seeks its first victory of the season.

Jeremy Cluff writes: “These AFC East rivals are 0-3 and looking up at the 3-0 Buffalo Bills in the standings. Which one will fall to 0-4? The Dolphins played the Bills tough in NFL Week 3 and have had extra time to prepare for this one. That should result in a close win for Tua Tagovailoa and the Dolphins at home.”

Bill Speros writes: “Mike McDaniel managed to keep his job after Miami’s 31-21 Week 3 loss on Thursday night in Buffalo. The Dolphins get the Jets at home after the mini-bye. This could be McDaniel’s final game as Dolphins head coach with a loss.”

Dimers: Dolphins 25, Jets 20
It writes: “After extensive simulations, our model gives the Jets a win probability of 32%, while the Dolphins have a win probability of 68%.”
Sportsnaut: Jets 24, Dolphins 21
Matt Johnson writes: “While this is another battle of winless teams in Week 4, the New York Jets and Miami Dolphins should both feel a bit of optimism heading into Monday Night Football. Miami played the Bills a lot closer than everyone expected in Week 3 and had the benefit of a few extra days to prepare for this matchup. Meanwhile, New York rallied from a 23-6 deficit in the fourth quarter to make it a one-point loss. What will decide this game? The Jets’ ability to run all over Miami’s defense.”
