Fresno police are investigating a deadly stabbing that left a 38-year-old man dead Sunday morning in southeast Fresno.
Officers were called to Garrett and Barton avenues at 10:49 a.m., where they found Alejandro Garcia suffering from multiple stab wounds to his upper body, the Fresno Police Department said in a statement.
Officers and emergency crews gave first aid before transporting Garcia to Community Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 11:37 a.m.
Homicide detectives determined Garcia had been confronted at a residence by a woman and two men and was stabbed several times by one of the men.
The three suspects fled in an unknown type sedan, police said.

Detectives were canvassing the neighborhood for witnesses and security camera footage that might have captured the stabbing.
