Visalia Police Investigate Stabbing on Houston Avenue, Public Asked to Avoid the Area

Visalia police are investigating a stabbing at a Houston Avenue mini mart Thursday morning.

Officers responded at approximately 8:58 a.m. to the Double D Mini Mart after a report of a stabbing.

They found a woman with a stab wound to her leg. She was taken to Kaweah Health with non-life-threatening injuries.

A woman suspected of the attack tried to flee but was quickly detained by officers.

Authorities are asking the public to avoid the area as units remain on the scene.
