Authorities are investigating a fatal shooting on Vine Street in Kern County.

On Wednesday, at approximately 11:10 p.m., Kern County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a shooting in the 900 block of Vine Street, where they found an adult male victim who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Homicide detectives have taken over the investigation, the sheriff’s office said.

No arrests have been made, and the identity of the victim will be released by the coroner at a later date, authorities noted.
