Fresno police said on Wednesday that nine people were arrested after a Circle D gas station burglary on June 21 led detectives to link multiple thefts and catalytic converter burglaries across the city.
Police said four suspects broke into the station at 2520 E. Olive Ave., ripped an ATM through the debris, and fled in a vehicle later tied to other crimes. Detectives from multiple units — including the Adult Compliance Team, Career Criminal Auto Theft Team, California Highway Patrol, and Fresno County Sheriff’s Office — collaborated to connect several cases.
The investigation led to seven search warrants at locations in Fresno and across Fresno County. Officers said they found catalytic converters, burglary tools, clothing, gambling machines, and cellphones. Five felony arrests and four misdemeanor arrests were made.
Police ask anyone with information about the burglaries to contact detective Bacus at (559) 21-6215 or to call Valley Crime Stoppers anonymously at (559) 498-STOP.
