“Everything you loathe or love about Donald Trump’s America, you hate or cherish about Stephen Miller’s republic of fear,” Rolling Stone declares in its Sept. 14 issue.
The magazine’s inside look at America’s most powerful unelected bureaucrat reveals the overwhelming influence the far-right Miller has on Trump, the president’s second-term policies, and the nation.
The night of Trump’s election night watch party in Florida, Miller received nearly as many accolades as the president, Rolling Stone noted: “They all could see it wasn’t just Trump’s victory that night — it was Miller’s, and many felt obliged to kiss his Trump-endowed ring.”
Wake up, America.
Stephen Miller has already publicly labeled the Democratic Party as a terrorist organization.
This isn’t about crime and safety.
It’s about dismantling our democratic institutions.
We cannot allow acts of political violence to be weaponized and used to… https://t.co/yqiJo1Oh7o pic.twitter.com/h9CvlhRTVQ

Power That Extends Far Beyond His Title
Miller’s official title is deputy chief of staff, but that hardly captures the width, length, and depth of his influence.
Indeed, administration insiders reveal that Miller is the shadow secretary of defense, attorney general, and head of Homeland Security. Sources told Rolling Stone that some in top circles call him “President Miller.”
Think of any controversial executive order or policy Trump has unleashed, and you’ll find Miller’s fingerprints all over it.
Since Trump’s return to the White House, the corruptions of political norms and assaults on the Constitution have flooded out of the administration like water from a fire hose:
— Deportations without due process;
— Justice Department investigations of political enemies;
— Mass incarceration of undocumented residents and even legal citizens in so-called detention camps;
— Deploying National Guard troops and U.S. Marines to American cities that don’t want them with a claim of “cracking down on crime”;
— Suing American universities and rescinding billions in grants over alleged antisemitism.
Learn More About Miller
Miller, 39, grew up in Santa Monica and, according to former friends, began forming his hard-right political ideas — especially on immigration — between eighth and ninth grade.
