While the San Francisco 49ers earned a 17-13 victory over the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday at Lumen Field, they also lost a couple key players to injury in the middle of the contest, including wide receiver Jauan Jennings.

Jennings, who started practicing last week after missing most of training camp with a calf injury, left the game in the second half due to a shoulder injury that FOX’s Pam Oliver reported was keeping him from lifting his arm.

On Monday, 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan told reporters on a conference call that Jennings underwent an MRI and it came back clean. He was scheduled to do a CT scan, and according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, “it does not appear” that Jennings’ injury is serious.

Jennings played 50 offensive snaps (66%) on Sunday, catching two of his five targets for just 16 yards. With Brandon Aiyuk (PUP), Jacob Cowing (IR) and Jordan Watkins battling injuries, the 49ers are looking for other players to step up, and Jennings is near the top of that list.

On Monday, San Francisco also signed old friend Kendrick Bourne, who Jennings replaced on the depth chart a few years back. If Jennings isn’t producing to the level that he was last year, he could end losing his spot.
