Thieves vandalized gas pumps and stole multiple credit card scanners from two Springville markets early Thursday, authorities said.

The Tulare County Sheriff’s Office said the break-ins happened at Giffords Market and Eagle Feather Trading Post in the early morning hours.

Detectives responded to the scene and took over the investigation.

Sheriff’s officials said the theft should not put anyone’s credit card information at risk.
