Tater is an adventurous little 6-month-old guy with a playful spirit that will keep you entertained for hours.

He loves to explore every nook and cranny of the house, always curious about what’s just around the corner.

Tater is also fantastic with other pets and people — small dogs, other cats, and children are all his friends.

Tater’s Backstory

Tater’s mom was part of a colony surviving near one of Fresno’s busiest intersections. When there are no caretakers, cats do what they can to stay alive, so sadly they often colonize by busy intersections with many restaurants nearby.

Kind people stepped in to help the growing colony with Trap-Neuter-Return. Tater’s mom gave birth to seven —  yes, seven kittens — in one litter before spay for her could be arranged.

The seven kittens and mama cat were brought to The Cat House on the Kings and they immediately went into a loving foster home accustomed to juggling many in need.

Tater’s mom, Trixie, did a wonderful job raising her kittens and she, too, is up for adoption. It is important to share Tater and his many siblings now while they are still seen as teenage kittens, before they have more adoption competition from the young coming up right behind them!

How to Adopt Tater

If you’re looking for a kitten who’ll keep things lively and full of fun, Tater’s your teenage guy! Check out all of his fun profile photos too. He loved posing for our fabulous photographer!

To adopt Tater or see other available cats and kittens, visit The Cat House on the Kings.

All adoptable animals are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, treated for fleas, and litter-box trained. Thirty days of pet insurance is included with an adoption.

The nonprofit Cat House on the Kings is California’s largest no-cage, no-kill, lifetime cat sanctuary and adoption center.
