Fresno Grass Fire Burns Along Veterans Boulevard, Under Investigation

A grass fire broke out Saturday evening near Veterans Boulevard and Riverstone Drive in Fresno, burning an area estimated at 600 to 700 feet before being contained.

The fire was first reported around 5:30 p.m., with the initial engine dispatched at 5:33 p.m., according to the Fresno Fire Department.

Approximately 20 firefighters and two engines responded to the scene after multiple 911 calls were received.

The fire was fully extinguished after about two and a half hours, fire officials said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
