“This morning a client of the Bethlehem Center was shot on the sidewalk while waiting for food distribution. No other clients, staff members or volunteers were harmed during the incident.

“The Bethlehem Center is a place where community members are offered a place of hope, dignity and nourishment. The safety of our clients and personnel remains of high priority. Out of an abundance of caution, the Bethlehem center will have on-site security tomorrow as we plan to resume operations.

“We are grateful to local law enforcement for their quick response and diligence in keeping our community safe!

“We pray for the victim and all of those affected by this tragedy.”
