CalFire has reported that the Washington Fire is 100% contained.

A wildfire that ignited Monday near Highway 140 and Washington Boulevard in Merced County has burned 30 acres and remains completely uncontained, according to CalFire.

The blaze, named the Washington Fire, is being managed by the CalFire Madera-Mariposa-Merced Unit in unified command. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

No structures have been reported threatened, destroyed or damaged. Officials reported that there have been no injuries or fatalities among civilians or firefighters.
