A man was arrested Friday after deputies found him with a fake U.S. Marshal’s badge and uniform, and a self-made firearm during a response to a family disturbance.
Deputies with the Madera County Sheriff’s Office were called around 9 a.m. to near Avenue 12 and Road 22, where they attempted to detain Andrew Biscay, 40, for warrants tied to vandalism and impersonating a peace officer.
Biscay resisted arrest but was taken into custody after a brief struggle, authorities said.
A search of his vehicle turned up a self-manufactured firearm, ammunition, a replica U.S. Marshal’s badge and uniform, a self-made baton, and a flashing amber light.

The vehicle also had markings resembling a law enforcement vehicle.

Biscay was booked on multiple felony and misdemeanor charges. His bail was set at $70,000.

Authorities urge anyone who may have been stopped by Biscay posing as a police officer to call the sheriff’s office at (559) 675-7770.
