Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Age is a bit of a mystery — somewhere between 8 and 15 — but Possum’s story is crystal clear: she’s a survivor ready for love.

This spirited pup was arriving at the shelter as a stray and was riddled with tumors. After undergoing surgery to remove them — and having major dental work (leaving her with that adorable “tongue-out” look) — she’s thriving under foster care.

It didn’t take long for her playful spirit to shine through. After a few days’ adjustment, she began shadowing her foster parent around the house, eager to see what’s next. Possum is happiest outdoors, exploring every corner of the yard, and she’d nap in her dog bed for hours when the heat was milder.

While her foster siblings are mostly older and prefer calm, Possum is full of energy and always ready for a game — though she needs some gentle guidance around food, likely a leftover habit from her shelter days. But knowing what triggers her, a caring adopter can help her build confidence around meals.

With her soft-food diet, a comfy space to wander, and someone ready to match her curiosity, Possum is ready to turn the next page of her life.

This sweet, toothless voyager is all set to become a loyal and loving family member — assuming you’re ready for a little adventure!
