The Clovis Police Department said Tuesday that a white Tesla Model 3 towed in Fresno is possibly connected to the killing of Caleb Quick, 18.
Police said no one is in custody. The car was seized Tuesday as authorities served a search warrant.
In addition, Valley Crime Stoppers has increased the reward from $20,000 to $40,000 for tips leading to the suspect’s capture.
Quick was fatally shot in the head outside a McDonald’s restaurant near Willow and Nees avenues on April 23, in what police described as a targeted and pre-planned attack.
He was taken to a hospital, where he later died.
According to police, Quick arrived at the restaurant around 8:22 p.m., and the suspect — described as a light-skinned Hispanic or white male, 5-foot-10 to 6 feet tall — entered the restaurant about 16 minutes later.
Surveillance footage shows the suspect sitting at a table for 13 minutes, watching Quick, before following him outside and shooting him as he walked to his car.
The suspect fled west toward Fresno in a 2024 Tesla Model 3.
