Authorities uncovered an illegal firearms manufacturing operation Friday morning during a multi-agency arrest at a Visalia home, the Visalia Police Department said.

Around 9:30 a.m., the Tulare Area Auto Theft Team and the Visalia Police Department arrived at a residence near Rialto Avenue and Rova Street to apprehend a wanted suspect.

As officers approached, another individual known to law enforcement ran into the house, prompting officers to secure the area and launch a search.
Inside, officers found several firearms and evidence of illegal gun manufacturing, police said. The second suspect was discovered hiding in the attic and refused to come out, but officers used non-lethal tactics to arrest him.

Three people were taken into custody on outstanding felony warrants and weapons-related charges: Austin Clark Langford, 33; Dayna Marie Towery, 24; and Justin Joseph Edwards, 35, all of Visalia.
The California Department of Justice’s TARGET Task Force is investigating the firearm manufacturing case.
