A Madera man was arrested Sunday after police say he robbed a business near the 300 block of W. Olive Avenue, the Madera Police Department said in a statement.

Officers responded to a report of an armed robbery in the area Sunday afternoon.

As the suspect fled the scene, a witness provided officers with updated information on his location, police said.

Officers later found the suspect near the 200 block of E. Dunham Avenue. With the help of K-9 Goose, the man surrendered without incident.

Police identified the suspect as Huber Silva, 32, of Madera. Silva was booked into the Madera County Jail on felony robbery and drug charges.
