A head-on collision on Old Millerton Road happened after an impatient driver crossed over a solid yellow line while attempting to pass another vehicle, the California Highway Patrol reported on Wednesday.

Both drivers were taken to the hospital with minor injuries, thanks to their seatbelts, police said.
The crash could have been much worse, authorities said. They emphasized that passing over a solid or double yellow line is not only illegal but also incredibly dangerous.

CHP said in a social media post that, “No rush is worth risking lives.”
