The Fresno County Sheriff-Coroner’s Office reported that a family member has contacted them regarding Oscar Alcoser.

Original Story

The Fresno County Sheriff-Coroner’s Office is seeking the public’s help in locating the family of a man who was fatally struck by a vehicle late last month.

Oscar Alcoser, 46, was in the roadway near W. Adams Avenue and N. 8th Street in Fowler when he was hit on the night of Tuesday, March 25.

Authorities said he also went by the name Jorge Vasquez and lived in Selma.

Despite extensive searches of personal records, the coroner’s office has been unable to find his relatives. Officials said locating immediate family members is a necessary step before the body can be released for burial.
