Multiple Tesla vehicles were found vandalized at a dealership in Encinitas, California, early Monday morning, as reported by Fox 5 San Diego.
According to Lt. Zheath Sanchez of the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, the attack occurred around 5 a.m. in the 1300 block of Encinitas Boulevard.
Authorities discovered several cars and windows of the dealership building defaced with swastikas and profanity spray-painted on them. The vandalism comes just two days after a protest at the same location, where community members rallied against federal funding cuts, holding signs with messages like “boycott Tesla” and “save Social Security.”
Tesla Sales Fall Globally
Alan Gin, associate professor of economics at the University of San Diego, commented on Tesla’s recent challenges, stating, “A lot of people don’t like (Tesla owner) Elon Musk’s activities and as a result Tesla sales have fallen all over the world.” This incident highlights the growing controversy surrounding the electric vehicle manufacturer.

Tesla owners are starting to have mixed feelings about their purchases. Erin Maffia, a Tesla owner, expressed her dilemma: “Solar powered, we thought we were doing a good thing, and now regret it, embarrassed, don’t know what to do.”
As of now, no suspects have been identified, and no arrests have been made. The Encinitas Tesla dealership declined to talk about the vandalism.
