Detectives with the Central Valley Crime Gun Task Force, assisted by multiple law enforcement agencies, executed three search warrants on Wednesday in connection with a long-term investigation into gang members and the illegal manufacturing and sale of firearms.

The operation, which took place in Fresno and Selma, resulted in the seizure of 15 firearms, silencers, machine gun components, firearm manufacturing equipment, ammunition, narcotics, and U.S. currency, the Fresno Police Department said in a statement.

Two suspects, Jesus Cardenas, 26, and Frank Alvarez, 40, were arrested and booked at Fresno County Jail on weapons and drug-related charges.

Two additional suspects, Adrian Cardenas, 20, and Armando Flores, 37, remain at large.

The investigation received support from the Selma Police Department, Fresno County Sheriff’s Department, the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation SWAT Team, and the Special Services Unit.
