Detectives from the Special Investigations Bureau, Major Narcotics Unit, and Southwest District Safety Team conducted a drug sales operation on Thursday, Feb. 27, in the area of Fruit and Belmont avenues, the Fresno Police Department announced in a statement.

During the search, authorities found numerous firearms, narcotics, and stolen property.

Among the 12 firearms taken, three were reported stolen, and one was a privately manufactured firearm.

Detectives also recovered figurines stolen from Fresno’s Playland. The “Three Little Pigs and The Big Bad Wolf” figurines, once on display at Disneyland and later purchased by Fresno’s Playland, were taken in December 2023, authorities said.

Police were able to return the figurines to their rightful home.

Felix Diaz, a convicted felon and documented gang member with an extensive criminal history, was arrested for firearms, drug sales, and stolen property violations, police said.

He was booked into the Fresno County Jail.
