Original story

Fresno police are investigating the death of a 41-year-old woman found unresponsive at her home on Olive Avenue, between Ninth and Eleventh streets, on Wednesday, authorities said in a statement.

At around 3:00 p.m., officers responded to the residence after the woman’s 12-year-old child returned home from school and discovered his mother, identified as Angel Hoban, unconscious.

Officers arrived to find Hoban lying on the floor with blood near her chest and head.

Despite attempts to revive Hoban, she died at the scene.

Homicide detectives and Coroner’s office members, who obtained a search warrant, later determined Hoban had suffered multiple stab wounds to her upper torso.
