Authorities have arrested two suspects in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred over the weekend, the Visalia Police Department said Thursday.

The arrests follow a shooting early Sunday near the intersection of Court and Main streets, where officers found Adolfo Martinez, 54, suffering from a gunshot wound.

He was transported to Kaweah Health, where he later died.

Detectives took Roman Garcia, 38, into custody on Monday in Cutler with assistance from the Special Enforcement Unit.

Garcia was arrested on charges of accessory after the fact, and a search warrant was executed at his residence on Eddy Road, police said.

Two days later, investigators arrested Jose Ocampos, 26, in Orange Cove on a homicide charge. Officers also searched his home on Park Boulevard.

Both suspects were booked at the Tulare County Adult Pre-Trial Facility.

The Visalia Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit continues to investigate and urges anyone with information to call (559) 734-8117 or leave an anonymous tip at 559-713-4738.
