Social media users have launched a fresh wave of trolling attacks on President Donald Trump, aiming to challenge his ego and question his influence. The latest comments emerged under a White House Instagram post, where many users dubbed Elon Musk “President Elon” or “Great idea King Elon.”

The comments have spread across platforms, with memes and TikTok videos reinforcing the narrative that Musk, not Trump, holds power. This rising trend suggests a shift in how some social media users perceive the two figures, with the left seemingly pushing to challenge Trump’s authority.
Elon Musk is a terrible president.

Prior to assuming office, Trump felt compelled to state that, “No, (Elon Musk) is not taking the presidency. I like having smart people.” He continued, “But no, he’s not going to be president, that I can tell you. And I’m safe, you know why? He can’t be. He wasn’t born in this country.”
Musk’s Position Sparks Legal Challenges and Citizen Concerns
Musk, as the owner of Tesla and SpaceX and now head of X (formerly Twitter), has sparked speculation about his growing influence, especially in light of his control over the Department of Government Efficiency. White House spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt confirmed Musk’s employee status, though she was unsure if he had obtained security clearance at the time.
DOGE, not a federal department, has drawn criticism from Democratic lawmakers and sparked several lawsuits since Trump’s inauguration on Jan. 20. Some claim Musk’s DOGE is violating laws, including a lawsuit filed on Feb. 3 by two unions and the Alliance for Retired Americans, which alleged that DOGE’s access to Treasury Department payment systems breached privacy regulations, CBS reported.
Reports of Musk controlling sensitive data as an unelected individual have raised concerns.
The online rhetoric raises a key question: Will Musk maintain his headline dominance or will the attention backfire? The trolling continues, with the anti-Trump forces hoping to fuel a power struggle between the two.
