Detectives with the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office are investigating an armed robbery that occurred early Monday morning at the Best Truck Stop in Pixley, authorities said in a statement.

Around 3 a.m., deputies responded to the scene after a suspect had a handgun and took an estimated $600 from the register.

At the same time, others stole an estimated $270 worth of cigars.

The suspects fled the scene in a grey Kia sedan, which was later determined to have been reported stolen to the Delano Police Department.

Tulare County sheriff’s detectives have since taken over the investigation and determined that the same vehicle and suspects were connected to an armed robbery in Tulare and a burglary in Ducor.
