That construction on Herndon Avenue between Palm and Ingram avenues will end soon. A gas station owned by Walmart is expected to open by the end of January 2025.

At the south end of the Walmart parking lot, the gas station will have 16 pumps and diesel, according to a company spokesperson. The pumps will be available to everyone — no membership required. Diesel will also be available.

Walmart gives discounts to members, however, and some stations allow payments via the Walmart app.

Walmart gas trends toward the cheaper end of gasoline pricing.

According to Gas Buddy on Wednesday, two EZ Trips had the lowest gas at $3.45 a gallon. Sam’s Club followed at $3.48, with Costco and Walmart at $3.52.
