Two gang members were arrested Wednesday in connection with an attempted homicide involving a 7-month-old child during a shooting in southwest Fresno on Oct. 24, the Fresno Police Department told GV Wire on Friday.

The operation, led by the Multi Agency Gang Enforcement Consortium with support from the California Department of Corrections, Fresno Police Street Violence Bureau, and other local teams, resulted in the arrests of Miguel Angel Perez, 22, and Demarea Daveyon Gossett, 18.
Both suspects, identified as gang members, are facing charges of attempted homicide and other gang-related offenses, authorities said.
Jail records indicate that Perez’s bail is $460,000 and Gossett’s bail has yet to be set.

The shooting occurred while three victims, including the child, were traveling in their vehicle. Investigators say the attack was targeted.
