Fresno State is postponing the 2024 Top Dog Alumni Awards ceremony to next spring. The ceremony celebrates the university’s most distinguished alumni.
The new date for the dinner, which had been scheduled for this week, has not been announced. Fresno State gave no reason for the postponement.
The university made this announcement on Monday: “Fresno State has made the difficult decision to postpone the 2024 Top Dog Alumni Awards. The event, which celebrates our most accomplished alumni, will be rescheduled for the spring of 2025, and we look forward to celebrating with everyone as soon as we can. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate the continued support of our honorees, sponsors, and the entire Fresno State community. Further details will be shared as soon as they are available.”
The 2024 Top Dog honorees include Nicole Linder, CEO of the Marjaree Mason Center and the 2024 Distinguished Alumni Award winner, and Gary and Marlene Peacock, winners of the Arthur Safstrom Service Award. Outstanding Alumni Award honorees are Jim Boren, Carol E. Scott, Tami Lundberg, Lee Brand, Allysunn Walker, Sandy Taylor; Lloyd, Ralph, and Fred Fagundes; Phouangmala Diane Phakonekham, and Tony Akel.
