GV Wire will host a debate for the open California Assembly District 8 seat on Monday, Oct. 21, at 6 p.m.

Candidates David Tangipa, a small business owner, and George Radanovich, a former congressman, will participate in the debate.

They are vying to succeed termed-out Assemblymember Jim Patterson.

David Taub of GV Wire will moderate the event, focusing on each candidate’s vision for District 8 and their plans to address key community issues.

Radanovich won the four-candidate primary with 36.1% of the vote; Tangipa finished second with 31.3%.

The debate will be live-streamed on GV Wire’s Facebook page, allowing the public to tune in and hear directly from the candidates.

The production is made possible in collaboration with CMAC, Fresno’s Community Media Access Collaborative.
