Moses Gaona, 19, from Ivanhoe was arrested in connection with a drive-by shooting that injured a teenager in Tulare, according to the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office.

The incident occurred just after 12:30 a.m. on Sunday in the 3700 block of Avenue 236.
A 16-year-old boy was standing outside a property after attending a party when a passing vehicle opened fire, striking him in the stomach, authorities said.

The teenager was transported to a local hospital and is expected to be released soon.
Several days after the shooting, Gaona walked into the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office headquarters, where detectives linked him to the incident.

Gaona was booked into the South County Jail Facility.
