On Monday, the Fresno community gathered at Temple Beth Israel for an evening of reflection and unity on the first anniversary of the Oct. 7 Hamas attack on Israel.

Rabbi Rick Winer and others shared prayers, thoughts, and hopes for peace in response to the ongoing crisis in the Middle East.

A somber display at Temple Beth Israel in Fresno marks 366 days since the Israeli hostages have been held captive, reminding the community of the ongoing struggle faced by their brothers and sisters. The sign reflects the deep pain and hope for their safe return. (Dean Kirkland/GV Wire)
