New polls show Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump are locked in a tight race across all seven battleground states, Politico reported.

The Cook Political Report with Amy Walter’s Swing State Project reveals Harris leading Trump by 1 to 3 points in five states, within the margin of error. In North Carolina, they are tied.

Harris holds a 3-point lead in Michigan and a smaller lead in Arizona, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. Trump leads Harris by 2 points in Georgia.

Results Remain Similar

The results have remained largely unchanged since August, when Trump led in six states when President Joe Biden was still a candidate.

The polls also show stronger leads for Democrats in key Senate races. Arizona’s Ruben Gallego leads Kari Lake 54% to 41%, and Michigan’s Elissa Slotkin leads Mike Rogers 50% to 46%. Democratic Senators Jacky Rosen and Bob Casey have wider margins over their GOP challengers in Nevada and Pennsylvania, respectively, and Tammy Baldwin holds a narrow lead in Wisconsin.

In North Carolina’s gubernatorial race, Democrat Josh Stein leads Republican Mark Robinson by 24 points, with the latter facing controversy over past comments.

The survey, conducted by Democratic and Republican firms, polled 400 likely voters in each state from Sept. 19-25, with a margin of error between 4.5% and 4.9%.
