As of Tuesday morning, CalFire reported that the Boone Fire has burned 17,776 acres and is 44% contained.
Evacuation warnings have been lifted, though evacuation orders remain in effect for Zones P12A, P21C, and P22C. All roads are open except Mineral Springs Road at Highway 198.
A total of 1,615 personnel are currently working to contain the fire, supported by 116 engines, 53 water tenders, four helicopters, 22 bulldozers, and 44 hand crews.
The Current Situation
The fire has mostly been creeping and smoldering in rugged terrain within its perimeter. Crews are focused on suppression repair and reinforcing control lines.
Weather remains hot and dry with a slight cooling trend expected over the next few days and wind gusts up to 35 mph. Damage inspections are 90% complete, with 78 inspections finished.
