The Maddy Institute and the California Water Institute at Fresno State will host a one-day Agriculture Summit on Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Resnick Student Union at Fresno State. The event will also be accessible virtually.

The summit will unite stakeholders from across California to address critical water issues and explore collaborative solutions.

“We are excited to partner with the California Water Institute for our second annual Agriculture Summit,” said Blake Zante, director of the Maddy Institute. “This year, attendees will be able to listen to a wide range of panel discussions and keynote speakers about the development of collaborative policy solutions to support California’s agricultural, urban and environmental water users.”

Attendees will also hear from panelists on topics including the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act, data transparency, advancements in water infrastructure, and the importance of building alliances among various interest groups for sustainable water use.

Laura Ramos, interim director of the California Water Institute, stated, “Water users across California, representing a diverse range of interests, have been working together more and more over recent years. The California Water Institute is happy to partner with the Maddy Institute for this event to share some of these stories of collaboration and progress.”
